Ashton Kutcher says Two And A Half Men cast ‘supported’ him during divorce from Demi Moore
He’s been opening up about his failed marriage to Demi Moore and his relationship with her three daughters.
And on Monday on Marc Maron’s ‘WTF’ podcast, Ashton Kutcher spoke about how the cast of the sitcom Two And A Half Men had helped him deal with his divorce from the Hollywood actress.
‘Those people were all there for me and supported me while I was going through that, and it was phenomenal,’ Kutcher, 41, explained.
The former That 70s Show star was offered the role on the CBS sitcom just as his relationship with Moore was faltering.
The show wanted him to replace Charlie Sheen opposite Jon Cryer and Kutcher says he hesitated because he wanted ‘to work on’ his marriage and spend more time at home.
In the end, though, he accepted the role and it turned out to be a good thing, he said.
‘I had a really good time making it. I actually went through a divorce on that show which is a really hard thing to do…. And having a family (on set) while going through that… I needed that,’ Kutcher said.
Meanwhile, the actor, who is now married to actress Mila Kunis, declared on the podcast that he will ‘never stop loving’ Moore’s children.
The 41-year-old actor was married to the Ghost and Indecent Proposal star from 2005 to 2013 and helped raise her daughters from her previous marriage to Bruce Willis.
‘Tallulah was eight or nine, she was the youngest. Rumer was 12 or 13 when we first started dating. When we were getting divorced, Tallulah was graduating high school,’ he said.
And although he doesn’t ‘hang out’ with Moore any more, he insisted he makes a ‘conscious effort to stay in touch’ with Rumer, now 31, Scout, now 28, and Tallulah, now 26.
‘I love them. I’m never going to stop loving them and respecting them and honoring them and rooting for them to be successful in whatever they are pursuing,’ he explained.
Kutcher is now a dad to daughter Wyatt, five, and son Dimitri, three, with Kunis.
