Sir David Jason, 83, throws his crutches onto floor after having bionic body part fitted

Sir David Jason has shared an epic health update.

The 83-year-old Only Fools and Horses star confirmed in August that he’d been fitted with bionic eyes to make him stop weeping uncontrollably.

It’s also been reported that Sir David recently underwent hip surgery, which may explain his use of crutches in new footage.

But all was not as it seemed, with Sir David – whose new video was filmed in front of a garage – hobbling into frame before chucking his crutches on the floor and powerfully striding towards the camera as the Rocky theme tune started playing.

Hilariously, Sir David started to punch the air and flex his pecs, much to the delight of fans.

The clip was shared on the Only Fools and Horses News Twitter account alongside a caption that read: ‘A little video from Sir David Jason after his successful surgery Let’s send him some love.’

According to MailOnline, Sir David recently underwent hip surgery.

Over summer, the Del Boy actor spoke about his eye surgery after he was forced to pull out of an Only Fools and Horses convention due to his health.

Posting on social media he explained that he had needed a ‘canalicular bypass’.

‘Stay with me, it’s not quite as painful it sounds,’ he continued.
