Zelda Williams Uncovers Old Photos With Late Father Robin Williams

“Isolation spring deep cleaning turning up some GEMS”

With Coronavirus forcing folks to stay indoors, Zelda Williams has found a more sentimental way of spending her time – by sifting through old pictures.

UPI reports that Williams shared unseen pictures with her late father Robin Williams on Instagram stories, while in quarentine at home.

Those pictures are about to break your heart.

Smiling Faces

Robin Williams died by suicide in August 2014 at the age of 63, so this photobooth strip that shows him and his daughter smiling and making faces for the camera is extremely moving.

“Isolation spring deep cleaning turning up some GEMS,” Williams captioned the post.

She also tweeted about her spring cleaning project Tuesday evening.

“30 seems old enough to finally become one of those people who organizes their piles of old photographs in neatly labeled envelopes and acid free boxes… right?!” she wrote.

Owing to her longtime love of photography, she said she has “thousands of photos and negatives” in her house.

Lingering Pain

Few could understand the harrowing pain that comes with death caused by suicide. Even in 2018 – four years following her father’s death – prior to his birthday, Williams expressed the lingering pain over his death.

“It’s that time of year again,” she said on Instagram. “Everyone who has dealt with loss knows the pain of certain anniversaries, moments full of memory that come round like clockwork and usurp all others, no matter how hard you may try to prepare for them.”

The late actor would certainly be proud of his daughter, following in his footsteps. She’s already appeared on the TV series Teen Wolf and Jane the Virgin, and she’s voiced characters in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Legend of Korra, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
