The central protagonist of Mrs. Doubtfire, one of Williams’ most successful films, Daniel Hillard is a lot of things. Namely, he’s hilarious, good at thinking on his feet, great under pressure, witty, creative, and more intelligent than the people in his life give him credit for. Because of all of this, it makes sense that the Sorting Hat would place him in Ravenclaw. Think about it: transforming into a housekeeper just to see one’s estranged children is pretty smart.

9. Alan Parrish: Hufflepuff

If Alan Parrish from Jumanji went to Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat might decide that he fits in with Hufflepuff. The biggest reason for this is the fact that he’s so patient, which is a trait the house prizes. It definitely takes patience to live in the jungle for 26 years. And though Alan faces his fear in the end, he still doesn’t seem quite bold enough to make Gryffindor.

In the role that launched Robin Williams to stardom, he portrayed the alien Mork on the hit sitcom Mork and Mindy. Like many Williams characters, he’s also incredibly sharp and witty. Plus, if anybody was going to be born in a test tube, it would be a Ravenclaw.

The fact that he’s creative enough to produce Flubber from scratch shows that he would fit in well with other Ravenclaw students.

If the Genie from Aladdin was sent to Hogwarts, it’s highly likely that the Sorting Hat would place him in Gryffindor. Even though he’s bound to serve his master, he’s bold and daring in the way that he chooses to carry out his wish-fulfillment. He can also be quite fiery with Aladdin from time to time, but there’s something about his character that seems so noble. The way he comes to Aladdin’s rescue, even when he doesn’t wish for it, shows that he’s loyal and always willing to help out a friend in need. It’s true that his wit and creativity might make it seem like he’s better suited to Ravenclaw, but this character has Gryffindor written all over him.
