After dating his way around Peckham, Rodney Trotter finally found love when he met Cassandra Parry at evening school.
The pair hit it off almost immediately and tied the knot in 1989 with a wedding reception thrown in The Nags Head, which is seen in the episode Little Problems.
This is also the Only Fools and Horses episode where Cassandra’s yuppie parents Alan and Pamela are also introduced.
Pam wasn’t a huge fan of Del Boy Trotter as she accused Alan of being childish whilst in his company, but in the first instalment of Miami Twice, Pam gets extremely drunk after Damien Trotter’s christening.
The Parrys also appeared in The Jolly Boys’ Outing.
Although Pamela Parry, played by Wanda Ventham, only appeared in three episodes on the BBC sitcom, the actor has carved out a hugely successful career.
Her television credits include Casualty, Midsomer Murder, Father Brown, Holby City, Departure, and many more.
And it seems the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree as Wanda’s son is Hollywood star Benedict Cumberbatch.
The mum and son have even starred alongside each other as Wanda played the mum of Sherlock Holmes when Benedict played the lead role.
Benedict has also starred in blockbuster movie 1917, The Courier, Avengers, Doctor Strange, and many many more.
He’s also won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie for his role as Sherlock and has been nominated for an Oscar after his performance as talented mathematician Alan Turning in The Imitation Game.
