After blessing communion wine in Peckham! actor Treva Etienne took Hollywood by storm in a range of movies alongside some very famous faces
Miami Twice is the two-part Only Fools and Horses special that initially aired on BBC One back in December 1991. The first episode opens with the christening of Damien Trotter and never wanting to miss an opportunity to make some quick cash, Del Boy Trotter strikes a deal an unholy deal!
After the religious service finished, Del (David Jason) follows the Peckham vicar into the vestry where he says he blesses Communion wine. But before the vicar blesses the wine, it is just ordinary wine – so of course, Del sees pound signs in his eyes.
After some convincing wheeler-dealer jargon, Del strikes a deal with the priest to sell pre-blessed communion wine. The grand money-making scam will see the vicar bless lorry loads of Romanian wine which will then be sold to churches across the UK… sounds like a good plan – on paper!

Whilst Del and Rodney are away on their disastrous American trip, Del Boy’s Romanian wine turns out to be inconsumable as it is white rather than red. During both episodes of Miami Twice, the role of the priest was played by London actor Treva Etienne.
Before his Only Fools and Horses role, he had already starred in a list of hit TV shows including the part of Colonel Mombassa in The Paradise Club, Tony in London’s Burning, and Neville James in Desmond’s – plus many more. The 57-year-old then went on to star in a number of Hollywood films and other television shows, alongside some of the biggest names in the acting world.
In 2001, he starred as Firimbi in the Ridley Scott film Black Hawk Down alongside Josh Hartnett and Ewan McGregor. Two years later Treva starred as Koehler in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl with Johnny Depp (2003) and Icepick in Bad Boys 2 alongside Will Smith.
Treva has proven a success in the US with a long list of other acting credits. Most recently starred as Jacques Avril in the series Bosch, Jacob in the movie Witch Hunt, and Aubrey in The Silent Twins.
