The Trotter family morph into well-seasoned painters and decorators to give Denzil’s flat a makeover, to the disapproval of his wife Corrine.
Del Boy sees the job as the perfect opportunity to get younger brother Rodney and Grandad to do all the hard work while he chills out and makes long-distance phone calls.
And the trio are left beside themselves after finding Corrine’s pet canary dead in the kitchen as Grandad tries to find a replacement.
The episode was the last in season three of the BBC sitcom and first aired on TV in December 1983.
It was the first time viewers were also introduced to two new main characters.
