Only Fools and Horses stars who played Nervous Nerys, Tony Angelino and Cassandra Trotter reunite after 33 years

Only Fools and Horses stars have reunited ahead of the show’s 40th anniversary,
The legendary BBC sitcom launched on September 8, 1981, as the first episode called ‘Big Brother’ was broadcast to comedy fans.
To mark the milestone, some of the show’s actors reunited in The Nags Head, in Central London, for a cheap pint.
The pop-up pub, courtesy of Comedy TV channel Gold, opens to the public today for three days only – Thursday, September 2, Friday September 3, and Saturday, September 4.
Gwyneth Strong played Rodney Trotter’s wife Cassandra between 1989 and 2003 enjoyed a tipple ‘1980s prices’ paying only 83p for a pint.
She was joined by Philip Pope who played Tony Angelino in the iconic Stage Fright episode where the singing dustman mullered Roy Orbison tune Crying by singing it as ‘Cwying’ due to a speech impediment.
Andree Bernard, who played barmaid Nervous Nerys for two episodes, also joined Gwyneth at the pub for a celebratory pint for the show’s 40th anniversary.
Taking to Twitter, Andree shared a snap alongside her co-stars.
She captioned the image: “Behind the scenes at @goldchannel #OnlyFoolsandHorses 40th Anniversary filming today. Such a joy to see @philpopemusic & @gwynethstrong18 back in #TheNagsHead 33 years later. #NervousNerys even got to pull the first pint. Such fun #OFAH #TVcomedy #comedyclassic.”
In a brilliant tribute to Only Fools, The Nag’s Head has been recreated to look exactly like the original boozer we see on the series.
The walls are covered in nostalgic striped wallpaper, chequered floor, and trinkets that will make fans feel right at home.
Gwyneth said: “I can’t believe it’s been 40 years since the show first aired.
“There is such a loyal fan base and they are going to love this, it’s like going back in time and being back in the original pub!”
The pop-up pub is open 12-9pm on Roger Street in central London (postcode WC1N 2PB) throughout 2, 3 and 4 of September – the exact location will be confirmed to ticket holders.
