That '70s Show

Everything Debra Jo Rupp Has Been In Since ‘That ’70s Show’

If you are one of those people who were so obsessed with That ’70s Show back in the day that you ran home from school just to watch it, then you’re at the right place. Today we are going to focus on one of the show’s main cast members — Debra Jo Rupp, who played Kitty Forman — and her career after the end of That ’70s Show in 2006.

Since 2006 Rupp has worked on numerous movies, TV shows, and theatre performances. From family comedies like Air Buddies to Off-Broadway shows like The Cake — keep on scrolling to see what projects Debra Jo Rupp has been on since That ’70s Show.

1. Air Buddies (2006)

First on our list is the 2006 family comedy movie Air Buddies, which is the sixth film in the Air Bud franchise. The movie follows five Golden Retriever pups as they try to save their parents, who were dognapped. Even though we don’t see her in the movie, Debra Jo Rupp is also in it — she voiced Belinda, a friendly sow the puppies met on a farm.

2. Better With You (2010)

Let’s move onto the 2010 sitcom Better With You, starring Joanna Garcia Swisher, Jennifer Finnigan, Josh Cooke, and Debra Jo Rupp. The sitcom follows one family and three couples as they go through their everyday problems and struggles.

Unfortunately, the show was canceled after only one season, but you should definitely give Better With You a try if you’re a fan of sitcoms.

3. She’s Out Of My League (2010)

Next on our list is the 2010 rom-com She’s Out of My League, which stars Jay Baruchel and Alice Eve. It follows Kirk, a TSA agent who falls in love with a girl who is way out of his league. Even though Debra Jo Rupp doesn’t have a main role in the movie — she plays Kirk’s mother — Rupp is really good in it. She’s Out of My League is one of those rom-coms you could watch all the time, so if you still haven’t, you should totally put it on your watch list.

4. She Wants Me (2012)

Another comedy movie Debra Jo Rupp was in after That ’70s Show is 2012’s She Wants Me. The movie stars some pretty big names such as Josh Gad, Kristen Ruhlin, Melonie Diaz, Aaron Yoo, and Hilary Duff. The movie follows Sam, a writer who is working on his own movie which will star his girlfriend, Sammy. Or that’s what he thought until producers told him they want somebody famous instead.

5. He’s With Me (2013)

Let’s move next onto the not-so-known 2013 Youtube series He’s With Me, which stars Jason Cicci, Bradford How, and Darcie Siciliano. The series follows Martin and Ted, two guys of different ѕехսаւıtıеѕ as they explore their new friendship.

Rupp joined the series in 2015 — she appeared in two episodes during the show’s second season as Ted’s mother Alice who is visiting from New York.

6. The Ranch (2017)

Another series worth watching, with Rupp in it, is Netflix’s comedy/drama show The Ranch. It is about two brothers who help their father run a cattle ranch in Colorado. It stars Danny Masterson and Ashton Kutcher who have previously worked together on That ’70s Show. And that’s not all — other actors from That ’70s Show, such as Wilmer Valderrama and Kurtwood Smith, also have recurring roles, so it’s basically like a That ’70s Show reunion.

7. This Is Us (2017)

This Is Us is a romantic drama series about two parents and their families throughout different time frames. This Emmy-nominated show stars big Hollywood stars such as Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, and Sterling K. Brown. In 2017 it was reported that Rupp joined the show’s second season as a recurring character — she played Linda, a social worker who helped one of the main characters with adopting a child.

8. The Cake (2017)

Apart from working on TV shows and movies, Debra Jo Rupp also took roles in theatre plays. In 2017, she starred as a conservative Christian baker in an Off-Broadway play The Cake, which is based on a real-life controversy over a bakery that refused to make a cake for a gay couple. This whole issue ended up before the Supreme Court. If you enjoy theatre plays, then don’t miss out on this one!

9. WandaVision (2021)

When it was announced that Debra Jo Rupp will be a part of the cast for Marvel’s Wandavision, all of us who grew up with That ’70s Show were more than excited about it. What makes this even better is the fact that Wandavision was kind of sitcom-themed and paid homage to different sitcoms. Rupp, who was convinced by her great-nephew to take this role, appeared in five out of Wandavision’s nine episodes as Mrs. Hart, Wanda and Vision’s neighbor.

10. Butterscotch (TBD)

Wrapping our list up is the still-unreleased dark comedy Butterscotch, which will star Jason Priestly, Corbin Bernsen, Lindy Booth, and Debra Jo Rupp. The movie – which was based on a short movie of the same name, — follows three suicidal patients who meet in a waiting room, become friends, and decide to plan each other’s funerals.
