How Much Were The Two And A Half Men Cast Paid For The First Episode & The Final One

CBS’ Two and a Half Men has been over for some time, but that doesn’t mean it still isn’t one of the most highly-rated and beloved sitcoms out there. From cringy family dynamics to hilarious relationships and mistakes, this show is bursting with a memorable cast.

This cast has become absolutely iconic for their work on the show, and of course, they definitely made a great living doing it. From Charlie Sheen to Ashton Kutcher, the actors that brought this show to life were certainly making some good coin, and it only increased as their time and popularity on this show did as well.

1. Holland Taylor: $75,000

Holland Taylor is a veteran actress, but she immediately stole everyone’s hearts as Evelyn Harper. Fans loved to hate her, and while she only appeared now and then, it was always a memorable and hilarious episode whenever she did.

Since this seasoned actress wasn’t exactly a ‘regular,’ her estimated salary per episode hovered around $75,000. There is also no indication that it ever went up or down as the show went on. Plus, her appearances only became less and less as things went on.

2. Conchata Ferrell: $100,000 – $150,000

Berta is everyone’s favorite secondary character from this sitcom, but it turns out she was actually one of the lowest paid. Sure, she probably had the least amount of lines out of them all, and she was still making a whopping amount.

She was still bringing in over $1 million a year and forever solidified herself in the hearts of fans of this show, and television in general. She passed away in 2020, but will always remain timeless as Berta on this series.

3. Angus T. Jones: $200,000 – $300,000

Angus T. Jones was the highest-paid kid on television when he was still a minor, playing Alan’s son, Jake. He started the show with a pretty stellar signing bonus and was earning over $200,000 per episode. By the end of his time on the show, he was making about $300,000.

Before turning 18, that’s a lot of money to be earning, and Angus T. Jones definitely made history in doing so. He was a beloved and hysterical character on television, known for being the mischievous son that he is. Of course, he walked away before the show’s end, but not without making quite the living first.

4. Melanie Lynskey: $200,000 – $300,000

It’s a bit unclear how much Melanie Lynskey’s salary was raised throughout her time on the show. However, reports indicate she was originally earning around $200,000. As Rose’s popularity skyrocketed and she appeared more and more, this undoubtedly only went up.

Lynskey is a seasoned actress in both television and film, but she made a whopping sum of money from her recurring role on Two and a Half Men. It’s impossible to forget her as the lovable villain, Rose, no matter what other roles she plays.

5. Marin Hinkle: $500,000

Marin Hinkle will always be a familiar face, as Judith, for anyone who loves television. This actress is definitely the most well-known for this part, and she appeared in over 100 episodes throughout the course of the series, making about $500,000 per.

There isn’t any indication that Marin Hinkle made any more or less money as the series went on. However, this popular television actress was already worth enough that she could rake in a decent amount for the run of the show.

6. Jon Cryer: $550,000 – $620,000

It’s unclear exactly how much Jon Cryer was making in the first episode of the show, but during the middle seasons, he was raking in about $550,000 per episode! By the final few seasons with Ashton Kutcher, his pay was bumped up to $620,000.

Jon Cryer is actually the only actor on the show to have appeared in every single episode! He certainly earned his fame and fortune from playing the iconic (and mysteriously lovable) Alan Harper, and there’s no doubt why his salary increased substantially over the years.

7. Ashton Kutcher: $700,000 – $700,000

Ashton Kutcher ended up being one of the highest-paid actors on television when he joined the set of this hit sitcom as Walden Schmidt. However, Ashton Kutcher apparently never actually got a raise – but he was making a lot as soon as he started.

He also only had a few seasons under his belt for the series, and fans are certain he probably wasn’t complaining about $700,000 per episode – when the show has about 22 episodes per season. He certainly earned a pretty penny and kept the show going for a few more seasons.

8. Charlie Sheen: $800,000 – $1,800,000

It’s rumored that Charlie Sheen has always been making a whopping amount of money for this television series. However, nothing quite compares to his final days on the show, when he was making almost 2 million dollars per episode.

He was, not shockingly, the highest-paid television actor at the peak of his salary and time on this series. Although he’s certainly moved on, it’s pretty hard not to associate Charlie Sheen with the iconic role of Charlie Harper.
