Kourtney Kardashian Once Said She Was ‘Embarrassed’ To Be Kylie Jenner’s Sister: Here’s Why

Kourtney Kardashian recently admitted that she once told Kylie Jenner she was embarrassed to be related to her during a family trip to Disneyland, which is ironic since the famous attraction is known for being the “happiest place on Earth.”

The mother of three, who gained fame on reality TV but now spends more time working on her lifestyle brand Poosh, admitted that when her younger sister was 7 years old, she lost her cool because Kylie had thrown a temper tantrum when their mom Kris Jenner refused to buy her a Tinker Bell outfit.

Interestingly enough, Kylie quipped during the chat with Kourt that she believes her daughter Stormi has the same tendencies when she doesn’t get what she wants. But what exactly led Kourtney to say she was “embarrassed” to be related to the cosmetics mogul?

In a YouTube video uploaded to Kylie’s official account in March, the 41-year-old recalled the time she was angry with Kylie during an outing to Disneyland with the family.

According to Kourtney, Kylie showcased her bratty behavior when Kris refused to buy her a Tinker Bell outfit.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star stressed that Kylie and Kendall were spoiled beyond belief as children, so for them to be told “no” after always being pampered with toys and money, of course, they’d throw a tantrum at that age.

“When Kylie was 8, we went to Disney World […] I was 26, I believe… […] Every store we went into, mom would get you guys whatever you wanted — like, you literally had everything that you wanted. And we went into this one store, and you wanted a Tinker Bell nightgown. And mom was like, ‘Kylie…no.’ She just said ‘no’ for whatever reason, which was rare — and you couldn’t handle the answer ‘no.’

“And I just couldn’t take it and you were throwing such a tantrum. And I was like, “You’re the biggest brat, I’m embarrassed to be related to you.”

“I was like, ‘there’s kids that are dying; there’s kids that are starving; there’s kids that have nothing.”

The two giggled as their reminisced on the memorable moment, which Kylie went on to say was the biggest fight she’s ever shared with Kourtney, to which the latter agreed with.

“And then after, mom made you apologise to me, and then I apologised — I’m really not embarrassed to be related to you,” Kourtney concluded.

The TV personality’s appearance on Kylie’s YouTube channel marks as her first time collaborating with her younger sibling for her Kylie Cosmetics brand.

Unlike Khloe and Kim, however, Kourtney remains the only sister Kylie has not partnered with for a joint collection release.

At the end of 2019, Kourtney revealed she was planning on spending less time filming scenes for Keeping Up With the Kardashians in order to focus her attention on Poosh and raising her three children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign.

It was a bold decision for her to make, particularly after Kourt claimed that being part of the reality show, which is ending after its upcoming 20th season commences this month, had made her feel miserable, adding that the dynamic she shares with her family changes when cameras begin to roll.

During an interview with Vogue Arabia in 2020, Kourtney explained why she was stepping away from KUWTK and would only make occasional appearances moving forward.

“Life was moving so, so fast, even after taking a break from the show and attempting to slow down and give more time to my kids… It wasn’t until this time that I have been able to learn their needs again, see their strengths, and be able to be connected as deeply as I once was, before juggling so much,” she gushed.

“I am grateful for the incredible memories and life the show has given me and my family.”

Earlier this year, it was claimed that Kourtney has moved on from her boy toy Younes Bendjima after growing close to musician and drummer Travis Barker.

The pair have reportedly been dating for the past couple of months, and while they have yet to publicly confirm their relationship, sources claim that Kourtney is the happiest she’s been in a long time since getting with Travis, who is also a father of two children, whom he shares with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

In late 2020, it was announced that the Kardashians have inked a new deal with Hulu that will see them produce and create content for its streaming platform, after cutting ties with E! in September. It remains unclear whether the family will be looking to start another reality show once moving over to the streaming giant.
